Why did you choose the Business Analyst and Digital Marketing programs?

I am mid-career. I chose to dig deeper in the field that not only interests me but also where feel I have the most to offer my clients and/or employer. When I think about doing this for the remainder of my career, it makes me happy, is rewarding and challenging at the same time.

What are you learning about your career field that you find interesting or rewarding?

The rapid pace at which technology is changing will continue to be a constant challenge. What is relevant today could be obsolete tomorrow. I find that keeping up with these changes is key to being successful in this field. As a Business Analyst who will focus on eCommerce and digital marketing, I will have the opportunity to work with the latest and greatest. However, what is most appealing is that I will get to work with a variety of people and businesses to help them be the best they can possibly be.

Why did you choose Fox Valley Technical College?

I am not a “traditional” student. I needed flexibility and the ability to work out an educational plan that fit my unique needs. For me, this meant being able to add more technical skills to my creative arsenal that will help keep me competitive in the job market and help keep me on my toes professionally. I found that at Fox Valley Technical College. They are giving me those tools I need to be successful today and in the future to help me achieve my goals.

How has Fox Valley Technical College helped you change your life?

Fox Valley Technical College has empowered me to make bold choices, showing me that everything I wish to accomplish through my education is completely within my grasp. They have helped me explore and challenge myself, fully supporting me along the way. They have been my champion and cheerleader, my ally and advocate. It is because of those I have met at FVTC, I know I can and will accomplish my goals!

What type of job do you expect to find after graduation?

After graduation, I am open to working with an organization whose mission, vision, values and purpose aligns with promoting a sense of community and making it a better place for everyone. Whether that is with a large or small company or a non-profit, I want my work and efforts to make a positive impact and have a ripple effect throughout the community.
