Waterways Aided by Natural Resources Students

| By: Britten, Casey

Students and one graduate from Fox Valley Tech’s Natural Resources Technician program are conducting water sample tests on 14 tributaries in the region that flow into the Fox River.

The grant-funded project is being done in collaboration with several departments of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, UW Extension - Cooperative Extension, and Water Action Volunteers. The effort will run through fall and focuses on measuring the quality of water that feeds the Fox River and the overall impact on dead zones in Lake Michigan’s Green Bay.
