Culinary Students Win State

Fox Valley Technical College’s Culinary Arts student team of Logan Christensen, Adam Huebscher, Allyson Kitowski, Ashely Stini, and Ashley White took first place at the 2015 American Culinary Federation (ACF) cooking competition in Madison.

The students were required to create a full menu in relay-style form that included a main entrée, chicken with bacon, mushrooms, and onions, and an appetizer, salad, and dessert. The team now advances to Little Rock, Arkansas to put their culinary skills to test at the ACF Divisional Competition in March.

FVTC is one of the nation’s premiere training providers in Culinary Arts, anchored by 97% job placement over the past four years, ACF certification, numerous community-related initiatives from BBQ to grilling to specialty baking, and more, not to mention the state’s only high-tech training facility, the Jones Dairy Farm Culinary Theatre.
