Provides an overview of the "essentials of training" and teaches students how to create a performance-based instructional environment that maximizes student learning through scenario-based training.

Class Notes:
Students should bring note-taking materials to class. It is recommended that students bring a lap top and flash drive to class. The applicant’s occupational experience starts on the date the Law Enforcement Standards Board issued their certification, not on the date they were first employed. The applicant should have at least 2 ½ years of full time, or at least 5,000 hours, certified occupational experience prior to attending the CJ-IDC. Please note, a completed DJ-LE-335 and a copy of the officer’s Acadis training transcript MUST be emailed to at least two weeks prior to the class. Due to the evolving nature of the Public Health Emergency, all training and class offerings may be subject to future date, time, location and/or delivery method changes.
