Honored as Wisconsin’s #1 Service Business of the Year, and appearing on Time Magazine representing the Retail facility of the Year, Steve Tyink is Vice President of Business Innovation for Miron Construction Co. Inc., one of the Midwest’s largest general contractors. While with Miron, he has assisted in the creation of thought leading, innovative customer & patient experiences within many industries including financial, health care, manufacturing, commercial office, education, and entertainment. He is most widely known for his work with Experience-Based Design methodologies.
Kathy has a passion working with projects and organizations that are vital to the quality of life in the community. She was raised in Appleton and graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in Education. She taught elementary school in Appleton for several years until starting a family. She is a family board member with J.J. Plank Corporation.
Past community involvement includes serving as the Interim Director of the Fox Cities Children’s Museum upon its start-up and later as Chairman of the Board of Directors, volunteer leadership with the ACES/Xavier Educational system, Boys and Girls Club Board of Directors and the City Plan Commission.
She is currently in her 3rd term on the Appleton Common Council and serves on the Safety & Licensing Committee, the Library Board, is the Chairman of the Finance Committee and President of the Council.
She currently works part time as a Program Coordinator for Make-A-Wish Wisconsin.
She and her husband are the proud parents of 2 college age children.
