I have served on the Board of Trustees since August 2007, and have been a member of the Fox Valley Technical College Foundation Board since the early 1990’s, including terms as Treasurer, Vice-President and President of the Foundation.
My career in financial services began 36 years ago with Community First Credit Union. In 1994 I was named President/CEO and during my tenure the credit union has grown to $1.7 billion in assets, with 23 offices serving more than 100,000 member-owners, within a 12 county area in Northeastern Wisconsin.
Financial Literacy is one of my passions and Community First is actively engaged in championing this cause in our communities. I was appointed to the Governor’s Task Force on Financial Literacy in 2000 and have worked closely with the Appleton Area School District and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to develop a financial literacy curriculum for students. Many of these students receive hands on work experiences at our local High School branches.
Giving back to the community and our industry is very important to me. In addition to the FVTC Board of Trustees and FVTC Foundation, I also serve on the boards of the Affinity Health System, the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, the YMCA of the Fox Cities, Secura Insurance Companies and the Community First Fox Cities Marathon. In addition I serve on a number of national credit union professional and trade association boards.
The Fox Cities has been my home for my entire life. My husband and I live in Appleton.
