NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR COMMUNITY COLLEGE ENTREPRENEURSHIP NAMES PRESIDENT OF FOX VALLEY TECHNICAL COLLEGE TO BOARD
Susan May Joins NACCE Leadership Team
The National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE), the nation’s leading organization focused on promoting entrepreneurship through community colleges, has announced the appointment of Susan May to its board of directors. May is president of Fox Valley Technical College.
“I am pleased that Susan May has accepted our invitation to join the NACCE Board of Directors,” said Ron Thomas, chairman of the NACCE board and president of Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount, MN. “She brings insight and a great deal of experience to the fast-paced world of entrepreneurship development at our community colleges. The NACCE vision of creating economic vitality through entrepreneurship has never been more vibrant than it is today. With the addition of our new board member, NACCE will continue to be front and center in the quest to support entrepreneurship across the country.”
May has been president of Fox Valley Technical College since 2008. The college’s Venture Center offers a full array of educational programs and services for entrepreneurs and small business owners.
About NACCE
NACCE, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, is an organization of educators, entrepreneurs, and distinguished business development professionals providing quality programs and services in entrepreneurship education and serving as advocates of community-based entrepreneurship education. Founded in 2002, NACCE is at the heart of the “entrepreneurship movement.” Through membership, an annual conference and exhibition, quarterly journal, monthly webinars and podcasts, a dynamic list-serv, and other resources, NACCE serves as the hub for the dissemination and integration of knowledge and successful practices regarding entrepreneurship education and student business incubation.
These programs and the courses advance economic prosperity in the communities served by its member colleges. NACCE is a founding member of the White House-led Startup America Partnership.
