Fox Valley Technical College named Steve Straub its dean of Manufacturing and Agriculture Technologies. Straub joins FVTC with 25 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, including the last nine years with the Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership (WMEP).

At WMEP, Straub provided direct technical assistance to Wisconsin manufacturers. While in this role, he also earned the 2012 WMEP Impact Award for the highest client-reported financial business impact.

During his career, Straub also served as a supply management professional at both John Deere and Mercury Marine, and he holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Marquette University.

Straub’s experience in manufacturing and his avocation for managing land for crop production, timber, and wildlife habitat align with his new role at FVTC. “I am excited to join a world class technical college in energizing our regional economy,” he says. “It’s a critical time to equip students with relevant skills and to meet the changing needs of our region’s workforce. Manufacturing and agriculture are key industries that support our quality of life.”
