FVTC serves over 900 adults from more than 60 countries every year!
What is English Language Learning (ELL)?
ELL is a language program designed to meet the needs of adults whose native language is not English. Courses focus on reading, writing, speaking and career skills in six levels of instruction.
Each level is designed to provide students with an academic environment in which to learn the English language as quickly as possible.
Field trips and seminars that focus on the following topics are available to all students:
- Federal and State Government
- Banking and Finance
- Local businesses and Commerce
- Museums
- Hospitals/Medical System
- Plus many more!
As a part of ELL classes, students learn about:

Class Schedules
Classes in all six levels are offered mornings, afternoons and evenings throughout the year (reduced scheduling in the summer).
Program Costs
Classes are FREE! Students only pay:
- $10 Registration Fee (Every Semester)
- $5 Student Identification Card
- Textbooks (cost varies per level and schedule)
How to Register
ELL classes allows open enrollment until mid semester.
- Classes are offered throughout the year (with limited scheduling in the summer).
