Register Online Now!Computer 101 is a one day event hosted by Fox Valley Technical College's Student Chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP). Students in the club are pursuing a degree in Information Technology in a wide variety of foundations. Each year, these students have the opportunity to compete in a national competition in the different areas of IT. The competition location changes every year and the club works to raise funds to pay for their transportation and lodging at this competition.
In order to raise some of these funds and give back to the community, the FVTC AITP chapter has put together a few learning sessions for the general public. With what the students have learned in their course work and the ongoing learning they do every day, they feel it is a great opportunity to pass that knowledge onto others. Some of the topics that will be discussed are what to look for when buying a new computer, giving your computer a tune-up, improving your internet searches, basic photo editing and much more.
