Early childhood professionals with at least 1,500 hours of work experience and who are currently employed in Early Childhood can now earn their associate degree in Early Childhood Education in two years by attending one evening per week and one Saturday per month, as well as working additional hours in the child care field.
Our graduates are skilled in planning environments, developing age-appropriate activities and setting expectations that are congruent with children's needs and characteristics. Graduates value a diverse culture, respect the varied backgrounds of children, encourage family participation and effectively communicate and collaborate with children, parents and coworkers.
Success in the Early Childhood Education program requires the effort and commitment of well-educated, dedicated and quality people. Graduates have a variety of employment possibilities, from establishing and managing a child care center, being a program director or teacher, to working as a nanny throughout the United States.
The schedule may change for individuals who may be eligible for transfer credit or advanced standing of some coursework.
