In Surveying I and II students learn the proper use of field equipment such as: Auto Levels, Electronic Theodolites, Total Stations and Electronic Data Collectors to perform data gathering surveys.

Global Positioning System (GPS) is integrated into the program for use in several courses.

Sometimes foot travel takes too long and other means of transportation are used for GPS data collection.

Surveying 8

Computer Aided Drafting is offered to all Natural Resources Students. From the compiled data students produce a map of their project area. To date the students have mapped four state parks for the path system.
