I was introduced to the Fox Valley area in 1985 while serving in the U.S. Coast Guard. I have been a resident of the Fox Valley since that time.
I have been at Appvion as a Journeyman Pipefitter for twenty years. I was active duty Coast Guard serving as an Electrician for four years and in the Army Reserve in the First Gulf War with boots on the ground in the Middle East.
I completed my Apprenticeship at FVTC and earned an Associate Degree in Fluid Power and a Journeyman Associate Degree as well. I have served my community and my job in several ways: Foster/Adoptive Parent, Neighborhood Watch Captain, Apprenticeship Board of Review, Safety Committee, United Steelworkers/Sierra Club Blue-Green Alliance, Police Commission for the City of Menasha. I completed the Citizens Police Academy in Menasha and am a member of the VFW, American Legion and DAV. I think these experiences along with my interest in keeping FVTC an excellent school for our community will make me an asset to the Board of Trustees.
I have been married since 1986 and have two young children. I am looking forward to serving on the Board of Trustees for FVTC.
