Mike Slowinski became a member of the Board of Trustees in 2023.

He is the Superintendent of Schools for the Kaukauna Area School District, a position he has held since July 2022. His education experience spans 17 years as a high school English teacher, a Library Media and Technology Coordinator, Associate Principal, High School Principal, Superintendent, coach, and advisor.

Slowinski's community involvement includes membership and leadership roles on the Heart of the Valley YMCA Board of Directors, Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, 5-Stones Board of Directors, and membership on the Leadership Fox Cities Steering Committee through the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce.

His post-secondary education includes a bachelor's degree from UW-Eau Claire, a master's degree from UW-Stevens Point, and superintendent licensure from UW-Milwaukee.

Slowinski and his wife Emma, have two children, Abraham and Henry. They currently live in Kaukauna.

Chuck Spoehr became a member of the Board of Trustees in 2019.

He serves as the Director, Labor Relations for Miron Construction where he focuses on building positive relationships with construction professionals and connecting people to career paths with Miron.

Spoehr has over 29 years of experience in the residential and commercial construction industries. Starting his career as a residential carpenter by completing a four-year carpentry apprenticeship at FVTC in 1999, he continued his career as a commercial carpenter and job site supervisor, Business Representative/Organizer for the Carpenters Union, and instructor for the Carpenters International Training Center.

Spoehr and his wife April, have three adult children, Eric, Morgan, and Lindsey.

Vicky Weiland became a member of the Board of Trustees in 2023.

She has a passion for student success and worked at FVTC for almost 40 years before retiring in 2014. During her career, she held a variety of positions in Student Services and was an adjunct faculty member, retiring as Student Life Director and Conduct Officer. 

Since retiring from FVTC, Weiland started her own business, VB Presents C.H.O.I.C.E.S., addressing leadership development and success. She has presented and worked with many of the technical colleges in the WTCS and co-developed the RISE curriculum at NWTC, a student leadership certificate program about identity, inclusion and leadership. In 2018, Weiland became Resource Director/Advisor for Wisconsin Student Government, a student advocacy group for the Wisconsin Technical College System.

Weiland serves on the School Advisory Board at St. Edward School in Mackville and is a volunteer for Junior Achievement in DePere.

Weiland lives north of Appleton and feels her greatest opportunity has been being a mother and grandmother.

Margaret Kastner

Margaret Kastner became a member of the Board of trustees in 2021.

She has been working in the healthcare industry for over 15 years, and since 2013 she has been a Rehabilitation Specialist with Community Care, Inc., working with individuals with a variety of abilities to promote and maintain their independence.

Kastner is a graduate of the FVTC Occupational Therapy Assistant program. While at FVTC, she served as a tutor and student ambassador. She earned a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from UW-Milwaukee.

 




Javad Ahmad

Javad Ahmad became a member of the Board of Trustees in 2019.

Ahmad is a seasoned consultant with more than 30 years of experience working with national and local organizations. Prior to Smart IS International, he served in leadership roles at nationally recognized software and consulting organizations.

Ahmad specializes in implementing business and process improvement solutions involving organizational change and large, culturally diverse teams.

Ahmad is actively engaged in the local community and has a passion for supporting growth and enabling progressive change. He had the privilege to serve as the Chairman of the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce in 2019. In addition, Ahmad is a founding member of Amplify Oshkosh, a Board Member of New Digital Alliance, a member of Oshkosh Southwest Rotary, and routinely volunteers with Humanity First USA, an international relief and human development non-profit organization.

Originally from Pakistan, Ahmad moved to the United States in 1989 and earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from UW Oshkosh. Ahmad fell in love with the local community and made Oshkosh his home. He lives in Oshkosh with his wife and two children.

Justin Krueger

Justin Krueger became a member of the Board of Trustees in 2014.

He is a Special Education teacher within the Appleton School district. His life’s work thus far has been the study of human behavior, particularly autism.

Krueger’s passion is to improve accessibility to resources for the special needs community. He owned and operated Your Neighborhood Living, Inc. (YNL) for over 10 years, providing residential services to individuals with autism. He also has a decade of experience developing and providing behavioral therapy services for individuals with autism.

As an Outagamie County Board Supervisor, Kreuger represents the villages of Kimberly and Combined Locks.

Krueger earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from St. Norbert College. In addition, he studied philosophy and leadership from St. Norbert’s Leadership Training curriculum.

Phil Sabee

Phill Sabee became a member of the Board of Trustees in 2024. He is the Director of Customer Experience at Miller Electric Manufacturing, LLC and has been with the organization since 2010. 
 
Prior to Miller Electric, Sabee graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a bachelor's degree in Technology Education. He spent six years teaching Tech Ed at the middle school and high school level in the Appleton Area School District.
 
After teaching, Sabee took several welding classes at Fox Valley Technical College and started his career at Miller Electric in the training department as a curriculum developer. In 2016, he graduated from Lakeland University with a Master of Business Administration.  Sabee has a passion for education and helped develop an online program that has delivered welding education to 500k students across the country. 
 
Sabee and his wife, Amy, have three children, Mia, Jack, and Molly.


Molly Steiner

Molly Steiner became a member of the Board of Trustees in 2025. She graduated with an associate degree from UW-Marinette in Arts and Science in 2015. She then transferred to Fox Valley Technical College where she graduated with an associate degree in Paralegal in 2017.

Steiner worked as a paralegal for approximately six years at the law firm of Peterson, Berk & Cross. During this time she primarily worked in personal injury, criminal defense, and family law. Steiner left private practice to work within the Wisconsin Court System as District Administrative Assistant for the Fourth Judicial District. Steiner works alongside the District Court Administrator to provide assistance to the eight counties in District Four and provide administrative support to the judges, court reporters, court staff, attorneys, and the general public.

Steiner has prior experience working as an adjunct instructor for Fox Valley Technical College and volunteers her time to Collegiate DECA, both at a local Fox Valley Chapter level and as a judge at state conferences.

Steiner spends her free time with friends and family enjoying her many indoor and outdoor hobbies. You will often find her helping on her parents’ hobby farm, as well as hunting, fishing, and spending all the time she can with her niece.

John Weyenberg

John Weyenberg became a Board of Trustees member in 2017. He is President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity and has been with the organization since 1999. 

Weyenberg graduated from St. Norbert College with a degree in International Economics. During his college career, he studied and worked in London where he assisted immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers to access the British educational system.

After college, Weyenberg spent a year with the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps and completed a leadership training program through the Harvard Business School for Social Enterprise. Weyenberg was part of the inaugural Executive Social Innovation Leadership Experience class organized by Marquette University’s Social Entrepreneurship Initiative.

Weyenberg and his wife Jennifer, have two children, Will and Natalie.
