Appleton/Oshkosh Campus Building Closures
When severe weather conditions exist in the morning, the college will announce a campus closing by 6:00 a.m.
If the college is open and severe weather or other conditions develop during the day, the conditions will be evaluated and if possible, a decision regarding the cancellation of evening classes will be made by 3:00 p.m. for evening classes/activities.
The decision on campus closings will be made by the college president or his/her designee based on the advice of the director of facilities or his/her designee. Closing information is provided to television, radio stations, and through the College's emergency mass notification system.
When the campuses are closed, the buildings will be locked. Staff should not report to work on campus and students should not report to in person classes.
Virtual classes will proceed as scheduled when the buildings are closed. In-person classes will be canceled but instructors may elect to conduct virtual learning activities instead.
Regional Centers Building Closures
Generally speaking, a closure will apply to all campuses and regional centers/sites. If not, the notification will specifically state which sites are closing.
