This annual college-wide event lets you explore all of the options and services available through Fox Valley Technical College. Representatives from each career program area are available to answer questions and lead tours through classrooms and high-tech labs. You can apply for admission and learn about financial aid, student life and more! No registration required.
Can't make it to the Appleton campus? Visit our Oshkosh Riverside campus or regional centers in Chilton, Clintonville, Waupaca or Wautoma to apply in-person or for general college information.

Want to visit us in person? Choose from a full schedule of Discovery Days to experience campus life at FVTC. Your visit will include a general college overview, an informative tour of your program area of interest, followed by a panel of current Fox Valley Tech students who will answer questions about campus life. Open to prospective students of all ages and their families.

Either fly in or drive in for breakfast and explore the aviation training hangar and labs, visit with faculty and try out our full-motion Redbird flight simulators. If you're considering a career in aviation, this event is for you!
No registration required; just stop by between 8 a.m. and noon.
PLEASE NOTE: All 2017-2018 middle school career exploration events are at capacity. If interested in a classroom presentation, please contact Jennifer Fuerst at 920-560-1439 or email@example.com.
Career exploration for middle school students (6-8 grades). Students can visit our campus and explore various career areas.
Pre-registration is required for your group. Space is limited and will be on a first-come, first served basis. Parents are encouraged to join their child at this event. One chaperone is required for every 10 students.
FORMAT: The day begins with a short welcome and introductions. Attendees will break into groups that will rotate through three different career areas, followed by a final wrap up.
Please send this registration form (PDF) home with your students, along with a permission slip, and return all completed documents to Jennifer Fuerst the day of the event.
All students are required to take the following surveys:

Junior Achievement 8th Grade Technical Careers Challenge | In collaboration with Fox Valley Technical College
Thursday, February 22, 2018 | 1:30-5:30 p.m.
JA Technical Careers Challenge is a real-world experience that allows teams of middle school students to work with FVTC instructors and business professionals to compete against one another as they manufacture a product or provide a service.
The focus of the competition is on high-demand careers in areas including information technology, forensic science, diesel, supply chain, health services, welding, horticulture and automotive. Students will be asked to rank their preferred areas, every effort will be made to match students with their preferred activity.
1:30 p.m. - Student Arrival/Welcome (The student's school or parent/guardian is responsible for transportation to the event).
4:15 - FVTC Commons (Use entrance 10) - Appetizer buffet and award ceremony. Emcee: Bill Jartz, WBAY TV. $10 per guest. No charge for student participants.
Registration is limited. This event will fill fast, register today! Registration will close on February 13, 2018.
Campus Visit Days are designed specifically for high school groups. These career exploration visits highlight a variety of career training options, as well as a general college overview, a basic overview of a career cluster area, and student panel discussion. Pre-registration is required through a high school counselor or teacher. Due to the popularity of this program, we are only able to accommodate high school students. Middle schools are encouraged to contact the college to set up in-class presentations.

After confirming your preferred date, you will be emailed a link to a registration form for your students to complete. This form will help us plan appropriate tours based on your group's interests. If you would prefer a printable PDF registration form, please let us know.

For high school groups who want to experience a different type of learning environment. This event focuses on hands-on career training in wood manufacturing and residential building construction. This one-day event is for high school students (grades 9-12) only.
Contact your high school counselor or teacher if you'd like to attend.
Registration will open August 28, 2017 and close September 19, 2017.
