Kitchen & Bath Students Going National

| By: Britten, Casey

The work of three students in Fox Valley Technical College’s Kitchen & Bath Design program earned distinct recognition as part of a GE Design Charette competition sponsored by the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA).

As the result of a regional competition, Elisabeth Schaser, Greenville, Lyza Schmidt, Appleton, and Hailey Valentine, Green Bay earned a chance to submit their winning floor plan designs for consideration in the national NKBA GE Design Charette competition in May. The students’ final renderings included cabinet and appliance specifications using NKBA Graphic and Presentation Standards. In addition to the next level of competition, the students also earned scholarships as a result of their winning designs.

The NKBA is a 50-plus year-old organization with more than 60,000 members dedicated to providing resources for kitchen and bath professionals and accredited higher education institutions.
