Makayla Kleiber

Nursing Grad & Rodeo Queen

Oct 9, 2020

22-year-old Makayla Kleiber of Black Creek wants to be an ER nurse, and she’s well on her way. She recently earned her associate degree in Nursing from Fox Valley Tech and is now pursuing her bachelor of science in nursing.

She also just happens to be the reigning rodeo queen of Wisconsin—Kleiber was recently named the 2020 Miss Rodeo Wisconsin. Her love for horses and rodeo began at a young age, and grew up attending the Midwestern the Rodeo in Manawa every summer. In 2015, she was crowned the 2016 Midwestern Rodeo Queen. Throughout her year as Miss Rodeo Wisconsin, Kleiber will travel throughout the state as well as the country as Wisconsin’s official representative for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. She will make appearances at rodeos, schools, libraries, hospitals, and other community events.

About her experience at Fox Valley Tech, Kleiber says, “Fox Valley Technical College has provided me with a lot of great opportunities and learning experiences. I enjoyed the small class sizes and the hands-on experience. Thank you FVTC for providing me with the resources needed to succeed!”
