Students attending this event will be asked to examine how individual choices made within the systems we place affect the lives of others.

Speaker Lt. Edwin Raymond is one of 12 New York City police officers, known as “the NYPD Twelve,” appearing in the Hulu documentary Crime + Punishment. Amidst a landmark class action lawsuit over illegal policing quotas, he and 11 others risk their careers and safety in an effort to bring light to harmful policing practices which have plagued the precincts and streets of New York City for decades. Lt. Raymond shares his personal story of struggle and commitment to serve his community with equality and justice for all.
