Taking on Hunger

Hunger knows no boundaries. Many people in this community struggle to put food on the table, especially during an unfamiliar health crisis. While our campuses and regional centers remain closed as part of the Governor’s Stay-at-Home Order, FVTC’s Food Services department is taking on hunger. Its normal supply of food used instructionally as part of the Culinary Arts program to serve staff, students and the public has been cleared out during the closure and donated to area organizations.

Items include various juices, bulk cases of chips and other bagged snacks, numerous dairy products, nutrition bars, and some produce. Pillars and Loaves & Fishes of the Fox Valley are two organizations that recently received support from the college to take on hunger.
