Why did you choose the Business Management and Accounting program?
I have always had a dream of owning my own business, so the the business management program was a natural fit. I made the decision to double major in both Business Management and Accounting when I passed my business math and principles of accounting classes with high scores.
What are you learning about your career field that you find interesting or rewarding?
With soon-to-be two degrees, I will have a broad spectrum of opportunities for employment as both of my majors are rather expansive in their job outlook. Additionally, the post-graduation statistics on FVTC's website are extremely appealing to me.
Why did you choose Fox Valley Technical College?
Affordability was definitely my main reason for choosing FVTC. The hands-on learning techniques, smaller class sizes, a more diverse learning environment, and credit transferability were added bonuses for me as well. Plus the Appleton campus is the perfect distance away from my hometown of Tomahawk, not too close, nor too far.
How has Fox Valley Technical College helped you change your life?
FVTC encouraged me to get involved, which was out of my comfort zone. Looking at my life now - the Vice President of Student Government Association, the Administrative Financial Officer for Wisconsin Student Government, a two-year Student Representative for the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and much more - I have FVTC to thank for the person and leader that I am today.
What type of job do you expect to find after graduation?
I am currently seeking employment opportunities that deal more with the numbers and the accounting aspect of my education. That being said, I am open to other opportunities as well to utilize my Business Management degree.
