Ag Student Named Miss Teen Rodeo Wisconsin

| By: Britten, Casey

Congratulations to FVTC Agribusiness student Ashley Johnson who was recently named 2022-2023 Miss Teen Rodeo Wisconsin.

The 19-year-old grew up on a farm in Weyauwega, where her family raises beef cattle. She began riding at a young age, got her first horse at age 13, then started showing and riding in rodeo drill teams. In her role as Miss Teen Rodeo Wisconsin, she will serve as an official spokesperson for the sport of professional rodeo.

At FVTC, Ashley is studying Agribusiness Science & Technology-Animal Science, and appreciates the small class sizes and camaraderie with fellow students and instructors. “I love Fox Valley Tech,” she says. “The instructors are so caring and knowledgeable, and they truly want the best for your future. I love that we all share a passion for agriculture.”

When she graduates, she plans to transfer to UW-River Falls where she’ll major in Agriculture Education, with a career goal of becoming an agriculture teacher and FFA advisor.
