Fox Valley Technical College has named Rayon Brown Executive Director for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer, effective in June 2020.

In this role, Brown oversees the office of Diversity & Inclusion Services, tribal outreach, and affirmative action, as well as serving as a member of the FVTC Executive Team.

Brown began his career at FVTC in 2004 as a recreation assistant in the Student Life Center. He went on to fill several roles, including Intercollegiate Athletics/Student Life Coordinator, Manager of Multicultural Student Services, and most recently, Director of Diversity & Inclusion.

In 2014, he served as the Director of the Brother-to-Brother program, an initiative designed to increase retention rates of students of color at the college.

Active in the community, Brown chairs the Ryan Community Board of Directors and co-chairs the Imagine Fox Cities Coordinating Committee. He also serves on several other boards and planning committees.

Brown earned an Associate degree in Marketing from FVTC and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee. He earned his Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership & Administration from Concordia University in Mequon.
