Several high school student groups from throughout the region visited the Appleton campus to gain hands-on knowledge in working in the high-demand construction trades during the first-ever Construction Trades Expo. Nine area employers joined the college’s Apprenticeship training team in offering a variety of activities that demonstrate skills in the building, electrical, and pipe trades. These industries are committed to designing seamless and cost-effective pathways to rewarding careers.
Current FVTC apprenticeship and program students helped guide the younger learners during their activities, which included framing, sealing foundations, wiring applications, piping configurations, structural assembly, and more.
