Fox Valley Technical College is proud to present the Wisconsin Equity Summit on May 4 and 5. This free, fully virtual event was organized by the FVTC Diversity & Inclusion Services team and will feature local and national experts focused on diversity, inclusivity and equity. Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes will provide opening remarks on education and equity in Wisconsin.
The summit is designed for K-12 educators, community leaders, technical colleges and beyond to include the voices of traditionally marginalized student groups and help them succeed. The entire event will take place on a mobile app called Whova, where attendees can engage and network with other attendees. Register here >>
“As leaders and service providers, we need to have a shared understanding of where we are, what we need to do, when we need to do it, and for whom it should be done as we work to eliminate the current equity gaps in our state,” says Rayon Brown, FVTC executive director for diversity, equity & inclusion.

Stephen Menendian, assistant director and director of research with the Othering & Belonging Institute at the University of California Berkeley
Dr. Maame Yaa Bosuo Norman, chemical engineer, author and instructor
Dr. Angel B. Pérez, CEO of the National Association for College Admission Counseling
Wenona Wolf, deputy chief of staff and policy & legislative director, Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin
