As the Seymour School District asks its community to approve a referendum that would help upgrade its technical education program, Fox Valley Technical College is partnering with the district to expand credit offerings to students.
WBAY-TV recently previewed what’s behind the referendum and spoke to Wood Manufacturing instructor Mark Lorge about the need for these types of partnerships between FVTC and local schools.
“The need for skilled employees is as tremendous as I’ve seen it in the 25 years that I’ve been with Fox Valley Tech,” Mark said. “Applicable math skills can’t be stressed enough. Employers are looking for people who can come in and read a blueprint or take direction on how to do a specific step.”
