FVTC expert provides insight

If you want gifts under the tree this holiday season, you may want to start your shopping now.

That's the advice of FVTC Supply Chain Management Instructor Gaylen Haas, who recently joined WBAY to share his insights about the current supply chain issues across the globe. "Consumers can expect a little bit of chaos," over the next few months, he says. "Organizations are purchasing their materials now but everything is just getting extended."

Gaylen also explained that the increased focus on supply chain concerns due to the pandemic has shined a spotlight on the need for skilled professionals in this area. "Supply chain management is a booming industry right now," he says. "Many people say this is the new business degree because it really entails everything from raw materials to finished goods. There are many roles in supply chain and they’re looking for people."
