Partnering to Help Single Mothers

| By: Fermanich, Rachel

Fox Valley Technical College is honored to collaborate with the Women’s Fund for the Fox Valley Region, Inc. and BABES Child Abuse Prevention Program to offer Starting Point 2.0, a young women’s initiative designed to build economic security for single mothers and their children.

The pilot project combines FVTC’s educational resources with the child development and parenting programs at BABES. The free initiative aims to provide a better life for single-parent families.

Starting Point 2.0 is currently accepting qualified enrollees into the workshops. To see if you are eligible, please complete this survey and a member of our team will be in touch. Participating parents and their children must be available September 20 through December 6 on Wednesday mornings for 3+ hours to complete the program.
