It was back to being in-person and hands-on for the annual SkillsUSA Regional Competition.

After a two-year hiatus, around 150 middle and high school students from across Wisconsin visited the Appleton campus on Friday, Feb. 18 to compete in a variety of events related to career and technical skills.

Events included: Automotive Service Technology, CNC Machining, CO2 Dragster, Diesel Equipment Technology, Facilithon: Leadership in Facility Management, Job Interview, Job Skills Demonstration, Medical Math, Power Equipment Technology, Prepared Speech, Team Engineering Challenge, Technical Drafting, Technical Math, Urban Search and Rescue, Welding, and Welding Sculpture.

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. A nonprofit national education association, SkillsUSA serves middle school, high school and college/postsecondary students preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations.
