A shortage of veterinarians in the Fox Valley is putting a spotlight on FVTC’s Veterinary Technician program.

With veterinarians being stretched to keep up with demand for service, they’re turning to vet techs to help relieve stress in the clinics. FOX11 recently did a story about the veterinarian shortage and how FVTC’s Vet Tech program is part of the solution.

“Our first cohort of students finished in May of 2021 and they all had a job within one week,” said Dr. Lori Nagel, department chair of the Vet Tech program.
