Why did you choose the Neurodiagnostic Technologist program?

As I was preparing to change careers and go back to school, I knew I wanted to work in the medical field because it is practical, employable and helpful. I chose the Neurodiagnostic program because it gives me a chance to really focus on one area of medical care, and work directly with patients. It also has great employment prospects.

What are you learning about your career field that you find interesting or rewarding?

I'm learning that I will never stop learning. There's so much to learn about the brain and nervous system, and throughout my career I'll continue to learn ways to become better at my job and more involved in the field.

Why did you choose Fox Valley Technical College?

Fox Valley Tech is the only technical college in Wisconsin that offers this program. That, along with the fact that it's close to home and affordable, makes it a natural choice for me.

How did Fox Valley Technical College help you change your life?

Going back to school was a big decision for me. FVTC made it easy for me by providing support from the very beginning. With this degree, I'll be able to earn more money and enjoy a challenging new job. Changing careers feels like getting a fresh start in my work life, and FVTC is making that possible for me.

What type of job do you expect to find after graduation?

I'll be able to work as a neurodiagnostic technologist, performing EEG and nerve conduction tests. The clinical experiences that are part of the program will give me lots of real-world experience to help me jump right in at a clinic or hospital.
