Fire Certification Training

Fire Certification Training will certify participants in Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Fire Officer, Driver/Operator, Haz Mat Ops, Fire Inspector, and Emergency Services Instructor. These IFSAC Accredited trainings meet the Fire Certification requirements for the State of Wisconsin.

Certified D/O - Pumper

Describes and performs the duties and responsibilities of a driver/operator-pumper on a fire department to include basic responsibilities, types of pump apparatus, apparatus inspection and maintenance, operating emergency vehicles, positioning apparatus, water supply and systems, nozzles and flow rates, theoretical and fireground calculations fire pump theory, operating pumps, relay and foam operations. Completion of Certified Firefighter I is required.

Performs all duties of a firefighter as they pertain to fire behavior, personal safety, breathing apparatus, protective clothing, search and rescue, tools and equipment, hose lines, hose loads, structural firefighting, ladders, ladder rescue, forcible entry, ventilation, salvage and overhaul, live fire evolutions, fire extinguishers, ropes and knots, fire streams, communications, fire prevention, fire protection systems, and hazardous materials awareness.

Firefighter I Certification - Part C

Performs all duties of a firefighter as they pertain to fire extinguishers, ropes and knots, fire streams, communications, fire prevention, fire protection systems, and hazardous materials awareness. Completion of Entry Level FFI – Part-B is required.

Firefighter II

Performs all duties of a firefighter as they pertain to: building construction, rescue, fire cause determination, public education, salvage and overhaul, supporting sprinkler systems, vehicle extrication, and live fire evolutions. Completion of Certified Firefighter I is recommended.

Hazardous Material-Operations Level

Hours: 20.00 | Estimated Cost: $78.20

Learn to defensively contain a spill while working within an existing emergency response plan. Topics to include hazard recognition, chemical and physical characteristics, spill control, personal protective clothing, and respiratory protection.
