Course Prerequisites

As you proceed along your educational journey, you may be required to meet a prerequisite before enrolling in the next course. A prerequisite is the successful completion of a previous course or demonstration of a skill level using an assessment. The guidelines are designed to help you be successful.

The descriptions below identify the assessment scores and course options that may be used to meet the course prerequisite.

Algebra Levels

Algebra Level 1

Students may enroll in any course requiring Algebra Level 1 by successfully completing any of the following courses or achieving any of the below test scores:

Test Scores

  • Accuplacer Classic Algebra Score of 51+
  • Accuplacer Next Gen Algebra Score of 250+
  • ACT Math score of 18+
  • HS GPA of 2.75+ within the past 10 years.
  • Test Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) score of 50+
  • Completion of an Associate or Baccalaureate Degree
  • GED 2014 series score of 165+
