Students in Fox Valley Technical College’s Agriculture programs earned a top finish at the national Post-Secondary Agriculture Student (PAS) organization competitions in Kansas City. The annual event showcases the top skills of agriculture students from throughout the nation.

The first-place award went to students Alex Bacon, Hannah Vassar, and Bill Jones in the team Soil Science event, including third-place and second-place individual finishes in the same category to Bacon and Jones, respectively. FVTC’s Kelvin Arnold teamed up with North Central Technical College to earn a second-place team finish in the Livestock Specialist category.

Overall, FVTC had nine students earn top 10 awards and four top five finishes. The national PAS was organized in 1979 to provide opportunities for individual growth, leadership, and career preparation within the agriculture industry.

FVTC would like to thank the following sponsors for supporting the students during the PAS activities: its Student Government Association, the Wisconsin Certified Crop Advisor Board, and Growmark FS.
