Military Vets Complete Small Biz Training

| By: Britten, Casey

From proudly serving our nation to now serving the economic development needs of the region, a group of military veterans completed the E-seed™ entrepreneur training experience offered by Fox Valley Technical College’s Venture Center.

Known as the Envoy program, 15 veterans celebrated their accomplishments with family and friends during a formal ceremony and as part of Wisconsin Startup Week. Envoy represents the state’s first-ever grant-funded entrepreneur training effort designed specifically for military veterans. The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs funded the initiative.

The veterans were all matched with local small business experts for individualized coaching while the college’s Veterans Resource Center provided supplemental mentorship. Envoy used the Venture Center’s successful E-seed training model as curriculum.
