Culinary students at Fox Valley Technical College will take their training on the road.

Culinary Arts students who are currently enrolled in the Local, Sustainable and Organic (LSO) course at FVTC will compete against each other in the LSO Market Throw Down at the Future Neenah Farmers Market on Saturday, Oct. 9.

Working in teams, the students will be given 15 minutes to shop for ingredients sold by vendors at the market. Once they return to their cooking station, they will have one hour to create and plate a salad and a risotto.

Cooking starts at 10:00 a.m. with judging and a winning team chosen shortly after 11:00 a.m.

The public is welcome to come watch the competition.
