Admissions

Skills Assessment

An academic skills assessment is required for admission into this program or the following: High School GPA of 2.75 or higher (last 10 years) OR provide completion of associate’s or higher degree OR; 165 or higher on your 2014 series GED tests OR; ACT OR SAT OR Accuplacer OR Companion OR Compass (last 3 years) to waive to the general education level; The cost of the Accuplacer assessment is $15; Catalog #: 94100100; Learn more at www.fvtc.edu/Assessment.

Proof of HS Completion

Submit a final, official high school transcript, an original diploma or an official copy of GED/HSED Certification Scores. Current high school students must submit an official, in-progress transcript and a final, official transcript or diploma after graduation. You'll find all the details at www.fvtc.edu/apply.

Additional Information

Pursuant to 2017 Wisconsin Act 278, beginning August 1, 2018, prior to submitting an application for a credential, an individual may apply to the Department of Safety and Professional Services for a determination of whether the individual would be disqualified from obtaining the credential due to his/her/their conviction record;  To apply for a predetermination, please fill out Form #3253 and submit all required documentation specified on the form;  Pursuant to Wis Stat. § 111.335(4)(e), the offenses or kinds of offenses that may result in a refusal, bar, or termination of licensure are published under Additional Resources on the left side of this page: https://dsps.wi.gov/Pages/Professions/ControlledSubstancesSUA/Default.aspx and https://dsps.wi.gov/Credentialing/Business/fm3253.pdf

This is a high demand, fall start only program, and capacity is limited;  Students are admitted and invited to enroll based upon the date of their admission to the program; There is the potential for a year or more wait to get into the program.

This program may require professional licensure or certification; FVTC has determined that this program meets professional licensure requirements in the state of Wisconsin; however, FVTC has not determined if this program meets professional licensure requirements for other states.

Program Outcomes

  • Apply business practices for industry success
  • Develop client treatment plans
  • Develop ethical therapeutic relationships with clients
  • Perform advanced, aesthetic face and body treatments for therapeutic benefit in medical and spa settings
  • Perform chemical services up to medium depth in medical and spa settings
  • Perform Intense Pulse Light (IPL), and Class 2 laser treatments, under physician supervision in medical and spa settings
  • Utilize electrotherapy techniques in medical and spa settings

Credit Transfer Options

Whether you’re an incoming student, transferring to another two-year college or pursuing your bachelor’s degree, we make it easy for you to seamlessly transfer your credits. With full accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission, we offer credit transfer agreements with more than 65 two-and four-year colleges.

Many students come to Fox Valley Tech with credits they’ve already earned, either while in high school or at other colleges and universities. It’s also possible to be granted credit for career-related knowledge and skills you’ve already mastered.

Transfer Out

Is a four-year degree in your future? Save time and money by starting here. You can earn your associate degree at Fox Valley Tech, then apply your credits toward a bachelor’s degree. Or easily transfer your credits to other two-year colleges.
