Student Clubs & Organizations

There are over 35 different clubs and organizations available for students. Many clubs are directly related to programs offered at FVTC, so you can develop professional connections while meeting other students. In addition, there are a variety of social clubs to join. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, talk with the Student Life staff—it’s easy to start a new club.

Accounting Club

Provides an outlet for students to see how accounting is used in the business world through a series of presentations, tours and community outreach.

American Welding Society Student Chapter

Open to students associated with the welding program or students who have an interest in welding. Promotes civic engagement as well as social and educational opportunities outside the classroom that promote the career of welding.

Association of IT Professionals (AITP)

Promotes social and educational opportunities for information technology students outside the classroom.

Auto Collision & Repair Club

Focuses on auto collision and repair and promotes social and educational opportunities for students outside of the classroom.

Automation & Electronics Club

Complements the study of electronics by organizing events suited to the electronics field. Events include guest speakers, social gatherings, field trips and educational seminars.

Black Student Union (BSU)

Builds a new level of consciousness, education, and awareness about being an African American in today's society. We aim to teach others about diversity through engaging in activities focused on personal and professional development, community outreach, and fellowship. BSU believes we all will get a better understanding of others while learning about ourselves.

Campus Engagement Organization (CEO)

Builds leadership skills by helping to plan events and activities for the campus community, including the Speaker Series, movies, family events, musicians and more.

Collegiate DECA

Prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. Collegiate DECA helps students to develop skills and competency for business careers, to build self-esteem, to experience leadership and to practice community service. Offered at both the Appleton and Oshkosh Riverside campuses.

Dental Club

Provides opportunities to Dental hygiene students and Dental Assisting students to network with each other as well as campus life and the community.  Events students participate in are a Halloween candy toothbrush exchange/ pantry item toothbrush exchange, guest speakers, and fundraising with oral hygiene products.

Diesel Mechanics Club

Provides and generates understanding, support, encouragement and friendship to diesel students at Fox Valley Technical College through informal social gatherings.

EMS Club

FaSDR

FaSDR introduces students to performance automobile culture by building, maintaining, and racing program cars in a safe, recreational and legal venue for education.

Fox Valley Gaming Club

Provides students with similar interests in console, PC, and card/tabletop games the ability to meet like-minded peers, make friends, and feel a sense of community while having fun on campus.

Hmong Student Union (HSU)

Provides a social and academic support system for the Hmong students attending Fox Valley Technical College, including opportunities for community service, development of leadership skills, fund raising and social activities.

Horticulture Club

Welcomes students associated with horticulture and other related occupational offerings. The club will extend and enrich the horticulture program and develop leadership among its members.

Hospitality, Baking, and Culinary Arts Club

Promotes camaraderie and learning in a working atmosphere. College and community activities allow you to gain experiences in a variety of food service and hospitality settings. Activities include ice carving competitions, local school visits and demos, fundraisers and community service projects. Welcomes all students who have a desire for professional growth opportunities in the dynamic food service and hospitality industries.

 

International Student Exchange Club

This unique student club serves as a link between international and local students attending Fox Valley Technical College in the pursuit of mutual understanding and increasing global awareness at the college.

Machine Tool Club (Independent Chuckers)

Raises money for its annual trip to the international tool shows in Chicago and Milwaukee. Tour area machine shops and learn more about the knowledge, skills and work habits that are needed to be a successful machinist.

Medical Assistant Club (MA Club)

Enables medical assisting students to enhance and demonstrate knowledge, skills and professionalism required by employers and patients. Members will promote effective, efficient health care delivery through optimal use of multi-skilled medical assistant students.

Medical Laboratory Club

Encourages connection between students who share an interest in careers in medical laboratory. We hope to share information with others about our professions in the field of medical laboratory sciences. Promote learning through exposure to professional organizations, speakers, community involvement and fundraising.

Monster Shop Club (OPE)

Promotes social, educational and career opportunities for students outside the classroom in the outdoor power equipment technician, golf course turf and equipment specialist, and power sports equipment technician programs. Members will help promote these programs, give back to our industry by volunteering, and develop character and leadership.

Multicultural Association (MCC)

Provides opportunities for members to learn and experience aspects of various cultures of the United States and other countries. Learn more about the multi-ethnic composition of FVTC students as well as the diversity within the FVTC community.

Natural Resources Club (NR Club)

Encourages student involvement with others who share similar interest in and commitment to conservation practices.

Neurodiagnostic Technologist Association

NKBA Student Chapter

To connect the students of our Kitchen and Bath program with local professionals in the field through networking events, seminar series and other initiatives. Our mission is to bridge the gap between the professionals and the students. Fostering beneficial mentor connections is not our only focus, the organization’s activities are also designed to encourage students to take charge of their own educational experience.

Occupational Therapy Club

Open to students interested in occupational therapy. Promotes occupational therapy to students and the general community.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK)

Membership is by invitation, based on academic achievement. Students must be enrolled in an associate degree program, complete 12 credits, and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5. The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa is to recognize and encourage academic achievement as well as and fellowship among two-year college students.

Power Sports Club

Helps prepare students for the power sports industry. This is done through promotion and continued training in power sport technology equipment. In addition, members work with area high schools and dealerships.

Practical Nursing Club (PN Club)

Encourages practical nursing students to engage in activities on and off campus. Promotes learning techniques that will be useful in the nursing field, including demonstrations, speakers, community involvement and fundraising.

Professional Agriculture Student Club (PAS)

Members have opportunities to participate in leadership, state & national competitions, social activities and develop responsibilities of citizenship.

Student Government Association (SGA)

SGA is the voice of the FVTC student body. SGA discusses student-related items with the college leadership and work together to make your college experience better.

Student Nurses Association (SNA)

Helps nursing students by providing various activities in order to prepare them for their role of the professional nurse. FVTC SNA encourages the members to become involved in activities that are held in the community and on campus.

Student Veterans of America (SVA)

Provides support and opportunities where student veterans can reconnect, thrive and succeed. Collaborate and network with other veterans on campus. Veterans, military service members and supporters are welcome.

Vet Tech Association

Wildland Fire Club

Encourages student involvement with others who share similar interest in and commitment to wildland fire and natural resources. Join the opportunity to share your knowledge of wildland fire and meet other like minded individuals. Great opportunity for team building and community involvement.
