Decision Driving (Skid Pad)

Many drivers overrate their abilities as a driver and often underestimate the capabilities of the vehicle they are driving. This combination often results in serious crashes simply because the driver is making decisions based on incomplete data.

The exercises on the Wisconsin Decision Driving Course simulate a variety of emergency situations which allow a driver to test his/her abilities and understand their limitations as well as learning more about the performance capability of a particular vehicle type.

This hands-on experience affords the driver an opportunity to make better decisions when confronted with an actual emergency associated with everyday driving activities thus minimizing the devastating results associated with accidents or avoiding the occurrence completely.
