Food Manager Certification

Take your food safety exam at Fox Valley Tech

Wisconsin's Food Safety and Recreational Licensing requires that managers of food service operations become certified in food safety by passing an approved exam that tests basic knowledge of food protection practices.

FVTC provides multiple options for you to complete the approved ServSafe exam. 

Food Protection Manager Certification

Prepares students to take a Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services sanitation exam in compliance with the Wisconsin Food Code. After passing the exam, students may apply for their Food Manager Certification. Topics include prevention of food-borne illness, health and hygiene issues, safe food handling, and proper food storage. (Formerly Sanitation Certification Exam Prep-Seminar) 

The class is eight hours in length - six hours of lecture and two hours for the 90 question exam. The test is available in English, Spanish and Chinese.

Food Manager Refresher

Prepares participant to take the Servsafe Food Protection Manager Certification online exam by briefly reviewing HACCP skills and processes of safe food handling/preparation. Students will need to register and obtain an online voucher from ServSafe

Class is four hours in length - two hours for review and two hours for the 90 question exam.

Proctored Test Only

 

Fox Valley Tech offers a proctoring service for the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification online exam. Tests can be taken in English, Spanish or Chinese. You will be given two hours to complete the 90 question exam.
