The child care center at Fox Valley Technical College serves not only FVTC students and staff, but also families from across the Fox Cities who are not affiliated with the college. We provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive. Through play-based curriculum and skilled early childhood educators, the center fosters a strong foundation for child learning and development.

The Parent/Child Center is a nonprofit organization state licensed by the Department of Children and Families (DCF). We provide for the educational, social and physical needs of the children, while also providing a learning experience for college students enrolled in the FVTC Early Childhood Education program.


The Parent/Child Center (PCC) is licensed for 96 children:

  • Ages 6 weeks through 5 years, year-round
  • 5k through 9 years old during summer only

Tuition & Enrollment

We accept Child Care Assistance through the state. Parents need to be pre-approved.

Tuition is charged weekly through an ACH withdrawal.

Additional Hour Charges:

  • Infant / Toddler and 2 Years: $10 per hour for care exceeding 45 hours per week.
  • Ages 3–5: $10 per hour for care exceeding 47.5 hours per week.

Multi‑Child Discount: 10% discount for multiple children enrolled (applies to the oldest child/children).

School-Age Summer Program

Full-time only for children ages 5k-9.

Age-appropriate activities include: Indoor/outdoor play, large and small group game activities, arts/crafts, free-choice, cooking projects and many more! Lunch and morning/afternoon snacks are included.

Summer School Age Tuition Rates:

Available: June 8 – August 21
Rates: FVTC student/staff = $220 per week | Community = $230 per week

Additional Information:

  • An additional $10 per hour will be charged for care exceeding 47.5 hours per week.
  • To receive the student rate, a parent must be currently enrolled and accepted into an FVTC program carrying a minimum of 6 credits.

The PCC uses The Creative Curriculum® in all classrooms. This curriculum helps teachers plan and implement a developmentally appropriate program that promotes children's social-emotional development and learning in the core areas of literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies.

Nutrition

The center provides a morning snack, full hot lunch, and afternoon snack to all enrolled children. Meals and snacks are prepared on-site. All meals and snacks are well-balanced and high in nutrition. Weekly menus are carefully reviewed regularly by the Center Director, staff, and by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction’s Food & Nutrition Service to ensure nutritional content and variety.

Meals are served family-style with our staff joining the children at their tables. Children are encouraged to serve themselves and to try new foods. Table manners are taught by example, and ample time is allowed for socialization. This helps mealtime to be a happy, enjoyable experience.
