Dual Credit Teachers

Dual Credit Instructors are responsible for teaching Fox Valley Technical College courses at their high school. Well-prepared and highly motivated high school students who successfully complete the course earn college credits. This collaboration between Fox Valley Tech and its high school partners offers instructors at both institutions an opportunity to enrich their professional experience while helping students become career and college ready.

Dual Credit Timeline

Dual Credit Teachers: Fall & Year-Long Course Syllabi Due

Due to Divisions within the first 2 weeks of the term

Fall Grades Due

Must be entered into the FVTC system within 48 hours of course completion

Dual Credit Teachers: Spring Course Syllabi Due

Due to Divisions within the first 2 weeks of the term

Summit Registration Opens

Register to attend required summits and trainings, as advised by each FVTC Faculty Liaison.

NEW Dual Credit Teachers: Applications Open

Applications open for the upcoming academic year.

Dual Credit Course Schedules - Administrator/Master Scheduler May: 15th

Due for the upcoming academic year, including instructor name, email address, and start and end date of each course.

Dual Credit Contracts - Administrator/Master Scheduler: June 1st

will be emailed to each high school with specific courses and estimated tuition savings for the upcoming academic year.

Signed Contracts - Administrator/Master Scheduler: June 8th

Step 1: The application window for NEW Dual Credit Teacher applications is available from March 1st - June 30. To apply, visit the FVTC jobs page and search for Dual Credit.

What you need to apply: The following documents are required as part of your submission. Be sure to have official copies ready to attach

  • Copy of DPI License(s) 
  • Copy of Official transcripts (Undergraduate & Graduate)
  • Experienced Licensure Documentation (Resume with articulated experience noted

Special Note: Instructor email address must be the high school work email ONLY. Example: tsmith@aasd.k12.wi.us.

FVTC faculty and K-12 Partnerships will review qualifications and request additional information when appropriate. You will be contacted by an FVTC Instructor or Dean regarding your submission, once it has been reviewed. Step 2: Attend the required program summit or meet one-on-one with your Faculty Liaison to review qualifications and fulfill training requirements. Note that some courses require teachers to complete the course prior to becoming certified to teach the curriculum. 

Step 3: Account set up: If approved, you will receive an automated email with onboarding directions from Workday.

Step 4:  K-12 Partnerships will work with your district scheduling team each May to confirm Dual Credit course offerings for the following school year. The specific information submitted will be used to build your FVTC courses. If for any reason the courses do not run, please notify us immediately to ensure our records are updated accordingly. 

*Annual requirement to maintain certification: High School Instructors are required to meet annually with FVTC Faculty to ensure curriculum and course standards continue to be met.
