Admissions

Skills Assessment

An academic skills assessment is required for admission into this program or the following: High School GPA of 2.75 or higher OR provide completion of associate’s or higher degree OR; 165 or higher on your 2014 series GED tests OR; ACT OR Accuplacer to waive to the general education level; The cost of the Accuplacer assessment is $15; Catalog #: 94100100; Learn more at www.fvtc.edu/Assessment.

Additional Information

This program is approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) under 14 CFR Part 147. Upon completion of the curriculum, you will earn a FAA Certificated Aviation Maintenance Technician - Airframe license.

Transfer credit, for previously completed courses, must be evaluated to ensure that they meet the curriculum requirements. Contact Joe Schmidt at 920-232-6023 for details.

Many employers require a complete physical examination, including drug screening.

This program is offered both during the day or in the evening. 

You may choose to also complete the Aircraft Electronics program at Fox Valley Technical College with only one additional year of instruction.

Credit Transfer Options

They're your credits. Take them with you!

Whether you’re an incoming student, transferring to another two-year college or pursuing your bachelor’s degree, we make it easy for you to seamlessly transfer your credits. With full accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission, we offer credit transfer agreements with more than 65 two-and four-year colleges.

Transfer In

Many students come to Fox Valley Tech with credits they’ve already earned, either while in high school or at other colleges and universities. It’s also possible to be granted credit for career-related knowledge and skills you’ve already mastered.

Transfer Out

Is a four-year degree in your future? Save time and money by starting here. You can earn your associate degree at Fox Valley Tech, then apply your credits toward a bachelor’s degree. Or easily transfer your credits to other two-year colleges.
