Admissions

EFDA

This program is designed for dental professionals who meet one of the following experience pathways: 1 year (1,000 hours) of chairside dental assisting experience and a current CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) credential OR At least 2 years (2,000 hours) of chairside dental assisting experience You’ll be required to submit verification as part of the application process. Please print the Verification of Employment form: www.fvtc.edu/Portals/0/PDFs/Admissions/Prerequisite-EFDA-Form-FVTC.pdf from our website. Once your employer has completed the form upload it here.

Additional Information

Before enrolling in core EFDA program classes, you must complete the following prerequisite courses:  Dental Health Safety and Dental and General Anatomy.  If you completed these courses outside of FVTC, please request your college credit be sent to FVTC. If you completed these courses at FVTC, please attach your unofficial transcript. 

CPR is required for this program. You will need to submit a copy of your Current CPR/BLS card to your MyFVTC account.

Credit Transfer Options

They're your credits. Take them with you!

Whether you’re an incoming student, transferring to another two-year college or pursuing your bachelor’s degree, we make it easy for you to seamlessly transfer your credits. With full accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission, we offer credit transfer agreements with more than 65 two-and four-year colleges.

Transfer In

Many students come to Fox Valley Tech with credits they’ve already earned, either while in high school or at other colleges and universities. It’s also possible to be granted credit for career-related knowledge and skills you’ve already mastered.

Transfer Out

Is a four-year degree in your future? Save time and money by starting here. You can earn your associate degree at Fox Valley Tech, then apply your credits toward a bachelor’s degree. Or easily transfer your credits to other two-year colleges.
