Scholars for Success

The Scholars for Success program focuses on the retention and persistence of at-risk, low-income, multicultural students as well as other students who are part of marginalized populations.

Scholars for Success evolved from the highly successful Brother-to-Brother program, which began in 2013. Brother-to-Brother supported the growing population of African American males at FVTC.  In 2014, the success of the program lead to the expansion to help additional marginalized students.

Benefits of being a Scholars for Success student:

  • Confidential one-on-one case management meetings
  • Life skills presentations and educational workshops
  • Stay up-to-date with regular progress reports
  • Receive reminders about financial aid, class enrollment, scholarships and other FVTC-related activities
  • Build positive relationships with students, faculty and staff

How to become a Scholars for Success student:
