The Family and Consumer Sciences Education Instruction program prepares you to teach a wide range of FCS subjects across multiple grade levels. You’ll develop the skills to teach occupational, vocational, and academic content to middle and high school students, gaining hands-on experience in areas such as baking, culinary arts, hospitality, and interior design.
You’ll also explore child development, behavior management, and strategies for supporting diverse learners—knowledge you’ll put into practice through real-world K–12 practicum experiences.
Please refer to the Admissions Additional Information section for details on any additional licensure requirements.
Given this program’s focus on Wisconsin specific childcare regulations, licensure and certification requirements, and Wisconsin laws relating to residency, this program is currently not accepting out of state applicants.
