Admissions

Skills Assessment

An academic skills assessment is required for admission into this program or the following: High School GPA of 2.75 or higher OR provide completion of associate’s or higher degree OR; 165 or higher on your 2014 series GED tests OR; ACT OR Accuplacer to waive to the general education level; The cost of the Accuplacer assessment is $15; Catalog #: 94100100; Learn more at www.fvtc.edu/Assessment.

Additional Information

A physical exam/TB test and Mandated Reporter Training are required prior to Practicum 1.

A state/federal criminal background check is required to exhibit you have no record that would prohibit you from working in a K12 school setting.  The process and requirements adhere to [DPI PI 34.018](https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/code/admin_code/pi/34/iv/018)

Wisconsin DPI Experienced-Based Licensure for Technical and Vocational Education Subjects form PI-1623 and accompanying documentation of 200 hours of related work experience or completion of a bachelor’s degree are needed to meet alternative licensure requirements in the State of Wisconsin; a specific school district must also approve this license.

Credit Transfer Options

They're your credits. Take them with you!

Whether you’re an incoming student, transferring to another two-year college or pursuing your bachelor’s degree, we make it easy for you to seamlessly transfer your credits. With full accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission, we offer credit transfer agreements with more than 65 two-and four-year colleges.

Transfer In

Many students come to Fox Valley Tech with credits they’ve already earned, either while in high school or at other colleges and universities. It’s also possible to be granted credit for career-related knowledge and skills you’ve already mastered.

Transfer Out

Is a four-year degree in your future? Save time and money by starting here. You can earn your associate degree at Fox Valley Tech, then apply your credits toward a bachelor’s degree. Or easily transfer your credits to other two-year colleges.
