As a professional educator, you’ll work directly with elementary and middle school students under the guidance of a licensed teacher. Your training will prepare you to support instruction in math, science, reading, language arts, and social studies while managing individualized learning plans—including those designed for students with special needs.
You’ll learn to design and deliver lesson plans, assess student learning, interpret assessment data to guide instruction, work with both small and large groups, and integrate technology into the classroom.
Upon graduation, you’ll be prepared for roles such as paraprofessional or substitute teacher, or you may choose to pursue a bachelor’s degree and full teaching licensure.
Given this program’s focus on Wisconsin specific childcare regulations, licensure and certification requirements, and Wisconsin laws relating to residency, this program is currently not accepting out of state applicants.
