You must have approved documentation of required immunizations and TB testing prior to enrollment in the internship.
The practicum or internship is a supervised **unpaid** clinical experience.
Students must obtain a C grade in each required general education and core course. If a C grade is not obtained, you will be required to repeat the course.
To be successful and safe in this program, students must meet the minimum requirements for English language proficiency (high intermediate at minimum, with advanced level preferred). Students who do not meet these requirements can get help by enrolling in FVTC’s [Intensive English program](https://www.fvtc.edu/global-education/learn-english).
Criminal activity reported will be communicated to healthcare agencies which provide student clinical and internship opportunities. Healthcare agencies have the legal right to deny a clinical or internship experience based on crimes committed. Completion of your program cannot be guaranteed if your criminal history precludes you from completing any clinical or internship experience.
Core courses are offered in the following locations: SPRING Oshkosh and Appleton and FALL Appleton and Waupaca - There is a three semester plan allowing students to take support and general education courses prior to starting core courses.
You will be required to complete a Certified Criminal Background Check prior to enrollment into internship or clinical experience. Do not submit these records until you are asked to provide them to your instructors.
There is an estimated wait time of up to one year AFTER your admit term to enter occupational specific courses; while waiting to start occupational specific courses, you may choose to take general education and elective courses required for your degree or diploma program.
Students will be required to electronically submit clinical documentation, which includes immunizations, when accepted into core courses.
