Applications are issued by the trade committee. Entry requirements and testing vary by trade. 

You must be employed by a company/organization that is willing to participate in an apprenticeship program.

Program Outcomes

  • Act professionally, with mutual respect
  • Demonstrate heavy equipment maintenance
  • Differentiate aspects of a site plan
  • Employ leverage, motion, and momentum during heavy equipment operation
  • Implement safe practices
  • Maintain current OSHA/MSHA certifications and qualifications required by the WI Operating Engineers JAC
  • Operate competently no less than three (3) types of heavy equipment
  • Relate grade to a given task
